As part of the National Architecture Days, which this year focused on the theme: “New Lives for Buildings and New Practices in Architecture”, AIA Life Designers, in collaboration with Spie batignolles and the DRIEAT (Regional and Interdepartmental Directorate for Environment, Planning, and Transport), hosted a conference and site tour yesterday at the construction site of the DRIEAT headquarters on Rue Miollis in Paris’s 15th arrondissement.
The Miollis Project embodies the concept of a city in transformation, actively contributing to climate resilience through a comprehensive and proactive environmental approach.
By anticipating elements of Paris’s upcoming bioclimatic Local Urban Plan (PLU), this project stands out for several features: An open dialogue with the surrounding neighborhood, Enhancement of existing 1960s-era buildings, Minimal new extensions, High energy performance, Comfort for users and the public.
The event took place in the former boat permit office, where our speakers shared their feedback on the project. We thank them for their participation: Marie-Hélène Bonnet, Head of the Real Estate Heritage Department at DRIEAT, Rémi Mazabraud, Director of Engineering and Procurement, Simon Haykal, Spie batignolles Construction Director for the Miollis project, Frédéric Nantois, Architect at AIA Life Designers in Paris, Dominique Vitti, Architect at Atelier PHILÉAS. The session was introduced by Christine Hoarau-Beauval, Deputy Director & Research Lead at the AIA Foundation.
Save the date for 2025 for the next conference in our #Rehabilitation Cycle as part of the National Architecture Days.
