A Versatile and Evolving Stadium at the Heart of Agdal’s Green Belt
Located near a series of green spaces linking the racetrack to the botanical garden, the project is seamlessly integrated into a continuous landscape where the fusion of architecture and nature is its founding principle. This urban anchoring allows the sports venue to blend harmoniously into its environment while offering a pleasant living space for users.
A FIFA-standard football pitch, optimally positioned despite site constraints, with low stands ensuring an ideal proximity to the game.
Commercial functions open to the city, with dedicated access for players, VIPs, and the press, ensuring smooth interaction with the urban space.
A landscaped and accessible base: A peripheral “ring” open to the public via four strategic access points, leading to both upper and lower stands as well as service areas.
A lightweight and functional roof, inspired by a protective cloud, offering a dual function:
Protection against sun and rain.
Harnessing natural resources: rainwater storage for pitch irrigation and electricity generation through photovoltaic panels for night-time stadium lighting.
Outside match days, the stadium transforms into an extended public space; its mineral and green base naturally integrates with the urban landscape.
On match days, a flow management system ensures the venue’s security:
Pedestrianization of surrounding streets to create a secure buffer zone.
Temporary fences and ticket control at the entrance to access stairways.
Dedicated and independent access points:
West façade: Private area for VIPs, journalists, administrators, and medical services.
Basement: Exclusive access for players and VVIPs.
This project combines functional efficiency and environmental integration, making the stadium a true living space—adaptable and respectful of its urban and ecological setting.
