[PROJECT] #The First Stone of the Future Hospital in Maizières-lès-Metz Has Been Symbolically Laid

#CONSTRUCTION The symbolic first stone of the already visible construction site for the future hospital in Maizières-lès-Metz was laid on Monday, October 28, 2024, in the presence of numerous officials, including Julien Freyburger, Mayor of Maizières-lès-Metz, Sébastien Proto President of the ELSAN Group, and our AIA Life Designers team represented by Guillaume Pakey, Peggy Le Bihan, Olivier Sperling, Simon Moia, and Serhat Bican.

This healthcare facility, the largest built by the ELSAN Group to date, is set to replace the current Claude Bernard Hospital in Metz and the Notre-Dame Clinic in Thionville. Spanning 50,000 square meters, with 24 operating rooms and 375 beds and spaces, the “Central Parc Clinic” adopts a pavilion-style layout. The constructed entities form the perimeter of a vast park, designed to serve as the core of the project. Entrances are distributed around this U-shaped complex to simplify flows and ensure efficient patient care.

The architecture, both inside and out, combines concrete, wood, and glass. To optimize costs and follow a low-carbon strategy, the project prioritizes the use of local materials and companies.

Construction began in December 2023, with delivery scheduled for 2026.
