The project, named “COEUR de Sarthe”, was unveiled to the press and hospital staff during the open day held on June 17 by our architects Guillaume Pakey and Stéphanie Allard. It aims to modernize and consolidate acute care services through:
The construction of a new 21,192 m² facility bringing together surgery, anesthesia, emergency care, intensive care, emergency medical dispatch services (SAMU), and mobile emergency and resuscitation units (SMUR).
The refurbishment of the existing Monet building to accommodate outpatient surgery services.
With this ambitious project, Le Mans Hospital reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare to the population by strengthening its infrastructure and investing in a long-term vision for the future.
Modern, innovative, and designed to meet the highest environmental standards, this new facility will provide patients, their families, and healthcare professionals with an environment tailored to the healthcare needs of today and tomorrow.
Construction start: 2028
Opening: 2031 / 2032
The project is financially supported by ARS Pays de la Loire through the Ségur Investment Plan, as well as by Le Mans Métropole and the CCAS.
