Elderly individuals at the heart of the healthcare system.
The construction project of the nursing home (EHPAD) in Tournan-en-Brie is built around several key objectives :
– To create the image of a human-scale facility where elderly people are placed at the center of both healthcare and community life.
– To design a facility that is open and outward-facing while preserving a sense of privacy. A place to feel at home—together with others.
– To improve the reception and care of residents, with services adapted to varying levels and types of dependency.
– To ensure optimal organizational conditions that facilitate the daily operations of the facility and the work of its staff.
– To develop a project with a capacity of 158 beds, including 128 standard long-term care beds and 30 beds in a secure unit adapted for residents with psychological dependency. The entire facility is set within an environment that encourages social interaction and connection while guaranteeing residents’ safety and protection.
The success of the project lies in the careful balance between functionality, long-term use, cost-effectiveness, and quality of service. Project organization, technical systems, their accessibility, durability, and the quality of materials used are all essential components.
