Sainte-Marie Hospital Center, Privas

Sainte-Marie Hospital Center in Privas: A heritage and contemporary architectural project.

In 1827, Father Joseph Chiron founded an asylum in Privas, initially intended for women only. This initiative would later evolve into the Sainte-Marie Hospital Center, a mental health care facility whose construction and rehabilitation will be completed in 2024, after four phases of work and five years of construction. The project management mission led by AIA Life Designers involves not only creating an architectural environment that meets the needs of modern psychiatry but also preserving the centuries-old bond between Sainte-Marie and the city of Privas.
