The architecture teams of AIA Life Designers have been selected as part of the consortium for the design-build of the Grand Paris Express on Line 15, connecting Courbevoie to Saint-Denis-Pleyel. Our architects will be working alongside NGE – BTP (lead contractor), Webuild, and Equans France on the Les Agnettes and Bois-Colombes stations.
Les Agnettes Station
This station asserts its presence on the building’s East and West entrance façades through a distinctive opening. Passenger flows and the escalator descent are staged and visible from the outside through this cut, making the station clearly identifiable from the public space. Light guides the journey, and the two interior lateral walls made of terracotta act as visual markers leading down to the platforms, which are adorned with colorful ceramic rods forming a wave pattern that symbolizes the movement of passengers..
Bois-Colombes Station
A true city-center station that serves as both a public square and a piece of architecture. The architectural concept responds to this dual role with a design for an open, multi-directional, understated, and simple hall that recalls early 20th-century industrial and transportation architecture.
A major technical challenge lies in building the underground station and its intermodal connections beneath a square measuring 39 by 130 meters! The link to the Transilien commuter rail system is a critical element in organizing the various underground levels of the station and plays a key role in structuring the project’s spaces.
