As a key government-funded project, the Futian District Mother and Child Center is the first hospital in Shenzhen to integrate both traditional Chinese and Western medicine for women and children. This project is also the first hospital in Shenzhen to partially adopt prefabrication techniques. In November 2018, AIA Life Designers won the international public competition for the project’s design. Construction officially began in November 2019.
Furthermore, the project was selected among the top ten hospital architectural designs in China in 2021. It also received national pre-certification for the “Two-Star Green Building” label. Delivery of the Futian District Mother and Child Center is scheduled for the end of 2023.
