The architectural teams of AIA Life Designers have been selected as part of the consortium for the design-build of the Grand Paris Express on Line 15, connecting Courbevoie to Saint-Denis-Pleyel. Our architects will work alongside NGE – BTP (lead), Webuild, and Equans France on the Les Agnettes and Bois Colombes stations.
Les Agnettes station: It asserts its presence on the East/West entrance facades of the building through an opening. The flows and the descent of escalators are staged and visible from the outside in this gap, making the station equipment evident from the public space. Light guides the journey, and the two interior terracotta walls serve as landmarks leading to the platforms, adorned with colored rods forming a wave representing the travelers’ path.
Bois Colombes station: A central city station, both a square and architecture. The architectural approach addresses these challenges with an open, multidirectional hall design, simple and sober, evoking early 20th-century industrial and transport architecture. The technical challenge of constructing the underground station and its intermodality is significant, especially beneath a 39-meter by 130-meter square! The connection with the Transilien is crucial in organizing the different underground levels of the station, structuring the project spaces.
👏 👏 👏 Congratulations to all our Life designers!
