[PROJECT] #A new milestone for the architecture of the Parrot EHPAD in Périgueux!

The construction and renovation project has just been granted its building permit—a key milestone marking the transition to the concrete realization of this ambitious operation.

Led by the Périgueux Hospital Center, this project has been designed to provide a warm, calming environment tailored to the needs of residents and caregiving teams.

With a usable area of approximately 800 m² spread over three levels, the facility will have a capacity of 227 beds and places distributed across 14 small living units and 15 beds within 4 accommodation units. The building will be set within an existing preserved park on the current Parrot site.

An EHPAD designed like a residential neighborhood.

Aware of its landscape and urban impact, the project proposes a careful implantation, respectful of the site’s topography and its natural and landscaped character, without disrupting the domestic and suburban scale of the neighborhood.

A project focused on well-being and quality of life.

The architectural design reflects a human-scale approach with a strong connection to outdoor spaces: variations in roof forms and the subdivision into small pavilion-like units help redefine a domestic reading of the facility, far from traditional hospital architecture.

The architectural, technical, and qualitative choices are guided by three strong ambitions : humanizing care, simplifying daily life for professionals, and integrating harmoniously into the territory.
