The architectural approach of the project is based on a subtle dialogue between heritage and contemporary design, asserting the historical identity of the site while adapting it to the requirements of modern psychiatry. The restructuring highlights the site’s unique topography, creating a layered organization and life spread across multiple levels. The iconic buildings, rehabilitated without altering their monumentality, become the heart of collective life. Shared spaces, natural light, and views of the gardens contribute to creating a calming and human-centered environment. Architecture thus serves as a link between the city, patients, and staff.
Health, architecture, collective work, hospital, care, rehabilitation, extension.
