On July 4th, at the invitation of Patrice Dunand & Vincent Scattolin, we celebrated the opening of an exemplary facility, at the crossroads of mobility, energy, and sustainable urban planning challenges.
At the heart of the new eco-district of Ferney-Voltaire, this demonstrator building is not just a parking facility. It embodies a strong vision:
– centralizing parking to free up residential basements,
– encouraging soft mobility,
– producing and sharing energy locally,
– and anticipating long-term changes in usage.
Built with a timber structure and equipped with 1,600 m² of photovoltaic panels, it also houses:
– a space dedicated to soft mobility,
– a fablab and a data center,
– and the plant for the innovative heating network powered by waste heat from CERN.
An adaptable facility, open to its surroundings, that illustrates our commitment to a frugal, functional architecture resolutely oriented towards the future.
Many thanks to all the teams involved in this project, led by SPL Territoire d’Innovation, designed by AIA Life Designers, and built by SC FLORIOT.
